TEN LATEST Farhan Akhtar UPDATES
A few years back, we met four never-do-wells – lovingly called fukrey in Delhi. When we left them after two hours, they had sent a gangster (Richa Chadha) to jail, were swimming in money and at least two had their love lives settled. But if you are a Delhiite and have known people like that, you know that is a state that doesn’t last long. So, here is Fukrey Returns and here is the cast – Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal and Manjot Singh. And then there is their nemesis, Bholi Panjaban played by Richa Chadha.
She is freshly out if jail and ready to wreck vengeance. An Varun Sharma’s Choocha is still in love with her. He has also started seeing the future. While earlier he would see some disjointed images in his sleep which his friend would turn into lottery-winning prophecy, he can now see the future and calls it “Deja Choo” (Because Choocha is getting the feeling, deaja vu becomes deja choo). But the future of this quartet is not looking too good. In a torture scene which involves firecrackers and unmentionable parts of anatomy, the director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba shows he is ready to spin mayhem in the second part.
The movie is going to release in December.
The makers of ‘Airlift’ are geared up for another thriller inspired by true events, titled ‘Lucknow Central’. The film starring Farhan Akhtar launched its first official trailer on Thursday morning, and it looks every bit intriguing. Lucknow Central, set against the backdrop of a jail, is the story of an inmate who is wrongfully put behind bars and is forced to opt for the unlawful path to get his much-deserved freedom. Now with the trailer out, we know that this small-town man with big dreams is framed in a murder case and all his aspirations of forming a music band are crushed by the malice of some. But with the entry of Diana Penty in the film, this prisoner No.1821 gets a hope of fulfilling his wish of becoming a singer. Not only this, now he is no longer an innocent man.
